What can I expect from an “on demand” course?
Our “on demand” courses vary in length—some will only require 1-2 hours of your time, and others include 8-10 hours of content. You can watch the videos and take the quizzes at your own pace, as long you finish within 90 days. Once you complete the course, you’ll receive a certificate of completion with the course name and your date of completion. These courses can be completed from any device (laptop, iPad, smart phone), and they are accessible at any time of day, in any country.
What can I expect from a “live virtual” course?
Upon registration, you’ll be given access to the learning platform, which will include an agenda and a Zoom link to use on the day of the training. There may also be some resources, articles, and videos, which are optional to access prior to the training. You’ll have access to the learning platform for 30 days after the live event, so you’ll be able to refer back to the handouts, articles, and other resources.
How can I bring The Advocacy Academy to my organization for a live custom workshop?
Email Training@AdvocacyAcademy.org to set up a custom training. Someone from our team will be in touch to work out the details.
If I bring a custom workshop to my organization, will there be a maximum class size?
No. Although you are welcome to invite as many participants as you would like, a class size of 10-30 people is ideal for learning.
How far will you travel for an onsite custom training?
No distance is too far. We have been all around the world!
Are CEUs available for my professional license/ credential?
That depends on your accrediting body. For example, if you are a credentialed victim advocate, courses conducted by the Advocacy Academy have generally counted toward NACP credentialing. If you are a social worker, nurse, or some other credentialed professional, check your accrediting body to learn about their processes. The Advocacy Academy can generally provide the materials you need to receive your credits (a certificate of completion, etc.).
